Comprehensive orthodontics for every phase of your smile’s journey
Phase One
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a check-up by age 7 to catch growth or alignment issues early. Most kids won’t need treatment yet, but an early exam helps guide healthy development and prevent future problems.
Comprehensive Treatment
Comprehensive treatment begins once all adult teeth have erupted, usually around age 12. Using braces or aligners (and often elastics), we treat the top and bottom teeth together to correct bite issues and create a healthy, balanced smile.
Surgical Orthodontics
In some cases, braces alone can’t achieve proper alignment due to jaw growth issues. Orthognathic surgery, coordinated between Dr. Keener and an oral surgeon, can restore function and improve facial balance. Braces are used before, during, and after surgery, with treatment timing carefully monitored in adolescents.
Braces
Braces are the most common appliance we use, available in durable stainless steel or clear ceramic for a more discreet look.
Aligners
Clear aligners are a discreet alternative to braces and work well for many patients. Treatment begins with a digital scan and a custom plan created by a board-certified orthodontist, such as Dr. Keener. Aligners offer comfort, esthetics, and easy oral care, but like braces, they must be worn full-time to be effective.
Retention
At the end of treatment, retainers keep your smile in place. Clear retainers are the most common, while fixed or Hawley-style retainers may also be recommended. We will guide you to the option that best maintains your results.
